Reference
Reference is the lookup surface behind the Learn curriculum.
What belongs here
Use Learn when you are following a workflow. Use Reference when you already know what you need to look up.
Generated Story reference
The repository's public reference sources are:
story syntax --output docs/reference/story-syntax.md- the Story CLI command tree materialized into
docs/reference/story-cli.md
Those generated files are required committed artifacts so their diffs stay reviewable. Documentation CI regenerates them from the current Story binary and fails if either file is missing, untracked, or different.
- Read the Story CLI reference for commands and options.
- Read the Story syntax reference for descriptor-backed authoring types.
- Use Learn for installation, concepts, guides, and examples.
Developer Specs
Specs capture implementation-facing architecture and behavior contracts, including maturity and the exact source commit used for audit.
Brand Toolkit
Rune Brand Toolkit provides official Project, Engine, and Story assets, responsive selection guidance, color, typography, correct/incorrect usage, developer integration, and direct downloads. RUNE-003 remains the normative construction contract.
Releases and compatibility
Installation URLs, compatibility limits, rollback guidance, and artifact packaging details stay in the versioned release documentation.
